An event to raise funds for Joplin tornado victims is Tuesday, June 21, at Timbercreek Cinema in Mountain View.
Activities begin at 5 p.m. Gate admission is a monetary donation, non-perishable food items, water or other needs for victims. Old-fashioned carnival games start at 5 p.m. Muscle, street and race cars also will be on display. A raffle and silent auction table also are planned.
A bluegrass band, “Friends a Pickin,’ ” takes the stage at 6 p.m. A new hunting show, “Bloodline,” featuring local hunting pro, Alex Rutletge, also will premiere at 7:30 p.m. A concert follows. (Movies will play at 4 p.m.)
Those attending are urged to bring lawn chairs. All proceeds go to the victims of the Joplin tornado.
