Houston police handled several investigations during the last week.
Here is the blotter:
–Thomas M. Weber, of 6188 Pine Flat Road in Summersville, was issued a citation for third-degree assault after he punched a Houston man in the face during a fight at about 1 a.m. at the Office Bar in Houston.
Several other people in the bar told an investigating officer they didn’t see what happened.
–Kristopher E. Meskil, 27, of 605 Hawthorn St., in Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after he was caught attempting to shoplift condoms and lip balm from Walmart in Houston.
–Elias G. Durbin, 17, of John Street in Houston, was issued a citation for failing to stop at a posted stop sign after an officer observed the blue GMC pickup he was driving didn’t stop at the intersection of Frederick and Ozark streets.
–Stephanie K. Krechel, 21, of 12837 Cadle Road in Licking, was arrested for having an active Houston municipal warrant alleging property damage. An officer who was aware of the warrant arrested Krechel after observing her exit a vehicle at a Hawthorn Street residence. The officer also noticed that a man in the same vehicle was Anthony C. White, 21, of 16464 Forest Drive in Houston. The officer knew that White had an active Houston municipal warrant for DWI and arrested him as well.
Both were taken to the Texas County Jail. Krechel posted $500 bail, but White was unable to post $322.50 bail.
–A 28-year-old Houston woman was arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail after a traffic stop at about 7:05 p.m.
An officer made the stop after observing expired license plates on the 1993 Chevrolet pickup the woman was driving southbound on Grand Avenue.
After making contact with the woman, the officer observed that she was shaking badly. When the woman was asked to empty her pockets, a syringe fell on the ground. The woman gave the officer permission to search the truck and Xanax was found.
The report was to be sent to the Texas County prosecuting attorney for charges of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, failure to register a motor vehicle and no insurance.
–Crystal A. Edwards, 21, of 634 Cleveland Road in Houston, was taken into custody by an officer after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 10:20 p.m.
Edwards was taken to the Texas County jail after a computer check revealed she had a warrant issued on May 11 by the Texas County 25th Judicial Circuit Court. She is to appear before a judge.
–Scott T. Mortensen, 35, of 1114 Charles St. in Houston, was issued a citation for allowing animals to run at large. Mortensen received the citation after an officer was dispatched regarding complaints of two puppies running loose.
Upon arriving at Mortensen’s home, an investigating officer observed the two puppies run across the street to the yard.
–At about 1:45 p.m., an officer was advised that a felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance had been issued by Texas County for the arrest of Rodney D. Vineyard, 24, of 800 Dooley St. in Houston. The officer located Vineyard at Hardee’s of Houston and placed him under arrest. Vineyard was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post bail.
–Angela M. Holden, 21, of 109 North Third St. in Houston, was issued a citation for failure to register a motor vehicle after an officer observed expired license plates on the maroon Buick Rendezvous she was driving southbound on Dooley Street at about 5:35 p.m.
