The Texas County Sheriff's Department was called to a report of domestic assault early Monday.

A 33-year-old Willow Springs man was arrested on charges of third-degree domestic assault after an incident at his Ranch Road residence at about 3:50 this morning., Texas County authorities said.

Deputies responding to the incident reported that the man’s 31-year-old wife stated that her husband had come home from work at about 8 the previous night drunk and upset. She said several hours of arguing took place and that she kept trying to avoid her husband but he kept following her.

The man eventually grabbed the collar of her nightshirt and she fell down. He then went outside and rammed a Subaru car into a Chevrolet Blazer and then used a knife to put holes in the Blazer’s front tires.
