The 60th annual Raymondville Picnic began a three-night run Thursday at the Highway B fairgrounds.
Several activities are planned – ranging from a karaoke contest to musical entertainment. Bluff City Shows will provide a midway for the event, which is sponsored by the Raymondville Picnic Committee. Advance armbands are $10, and $12 at the gate. Anyone turning 60 in 2011 is eligible for a free armband. An i.d. must be shown.
Here is the entertainment schedule:
-SATURAY: 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Country Survivors Band. A pony pull is at 6 p.m.
There also will be prize drawings Saturday for cash and gift certificates.
Food is available on the site. There is free parking and admission each evening.
