A 74-year-old Houston man was injured Thursday morning when a stick of wood flew through his windshield on Highway Z, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. T.A. Gayer said the wood came from a northbound 1994 Ford F-150 truck driven by Donald J. Dean, 56, of Houston, and went through the windshield of a 2003 Chevrolet truck driven south by Kenneth R. Gibson, 74, of Houston.

Gayer said Gibson had moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
