Kenneth Wayne Wolfe, 83, died Monday, July 11, 2011, at his home in Plato.
He was born April 30, 1928, in Plato, son of Thomas Cleveland and Fannie Merie Bray Wolfe. He and Gene Wiseman were married Sept. 3, 1950, in Plato.
He grew up in the Plato area and attended Mt. Pisgah School. He was a supervisor at the quartermaster dry cleaning plant in Ft. Leonard Wood.
He loved farming beef cattle and breaking horses. He also enjoyed woodworking in his spare time and fishing.
He attended the Assembly of God Church for the past 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruby Kimrey and Jaunita Garrett; and an infant baby brother.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Gene Wolfe of the home; a son, Larry Wolfe of Plato; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are 9 a.m. Saturday, July 16, in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Eugene Earp officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, July 15, at Evans Funeral Home.
