Lance MacDonald Wolfe was born Aug. 4, 1968, in Houston, Mo. He was stricken with a cerebral aneurysm in late May and succumbed to its effects on June 8, 2011, in a Richmond, Va., hospital.
Lance spent his early years in Texas County. He was baptized at an early age while attending the First Christian Church in Houston. Lance attended elementary school at Houston and Norwood. He graduated from elementary school at Norwood, Mo. He graduated from high school at Emporia, Va.
As the stepson of a military dad, Lance saw bases in both the United States and Germany. After graduation from high school, Lance enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Upon leaving the corps, he worked as a H.A.S.M.A.T. specialist for several companies. Lance established a successful online business selling books. He was engaged in this activity at the time of his death.
Lance was preceded in death by his grandfather, Quentin Wallen of Raymondville, Mo.
He is survived by his mother, Reagan (Wallen) Lovekamp of Charles City, Va.; two brothers, Greg Lovekamp of Helena, Mont., and Douglas Lovekamp of Charles City, Va.; his grandmother, Virginia Wallen of Raymondville, Mo.; his uncle and aunt, Brett and Debbie Wallen of Gainesville, Fla.; his uncle and aunt, John and Michelle McCloud of Houston, Mo.; his uncle, Mark Wallen of Raymondville, Mo.; his cousins, Brittany McCloud, Brooke Jackson, Heather Hacker, Caitlin Wallen and Dirk Wallen; and other family and friends.
Lance was a person who enjoyed a wide range of activities and had a curiosity as to how things worked. He enjoyed reading. He was a helpful, loving son whose presence will be deeply missed.
