A local church will provide a free sports camp next week for area children.
The 4Twelve youth of First Baptist Church in Houston will host the event from 9 a.m. until noon July 25-29 at the church. Each day will consist of two sessions, snacks and a devotion.
The sports camp is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through the fifth grade.
Participating children will learn the fundamentals of two sports of their choice — soccer, basketball, volleyball, cheerleading and wrestling — under the direction of Christian adults and youth. There will also be a Bible-based message each day.
