A woman declined to press charges after her husband threatened her, a deputy said.

An county officer reported he investigated a domestic dispute between a 30-year-old Houston man and his 33-year-old wife that involved a gun.

The officer reported that the man had apparently shot a couple of rounds off from his Colt .25 handgun as the couple left their U.S. 63 residence to go shopping. The woman told the officer that her husband then gave her two rounds to hold in her hand and said one bullet was for her and the other was for him.

She also stated that when the man entered the store, she ran back to the car and left. She then took her children to her brother’s house.

The man was located and taken to the Texas County Jail for a 12-hour hold period. The woman reportedly declined to press charges and stated that her husband was seeking medical attention for being bipolar.
