Two were cited with minors in possession of alcohol in separate incidents in Houston.

Two 19-year-old men face alcohol charges by the Houston Police Department following incidents on Saturday.

Clarence L. Hall, 19, of 8905 Highway E, Lot 2, in Houston, was issued a citation at about 1:10 a.m. for possession of alcohol by a minor by consumption.

An officer was traveling through the alley behind the Office Bar and observed a male run from a small group of people and hide under some stairs. The officer asked Hall to come out from under the stairs and observed him staggering and having trouble standing.

Hall was cited after field sobriety tests were conducted and he finally admitted to having consumed alcohol.

Bobby R. Campbell, 19, of 17103 Rusty Road in Houston, was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol after a traffic stop at about 10:40 p.m. on First Street in Houston.

An officer made the stop after observing the Chevrolet flatbed truck Campbell was driving traveling at a high rate of speed. After making contact with him, the officer observed a 24-pack of Bud Light on the truck’s passenger side floorboards.
