Officers with the Texas County Sheriff’s Department were called over the weekend to reports of assaults at two Texas County bars, authorities said.
An officer responded to report early Sunday of a fight at the Midway Bar at about 1:30 a.m.
Witnesses told the officer two women had assaulted a 23-year-old Mountain Grove woman. The victim showed signs of injury and photographs were taken.
The officer contacted one of the alleged assailants by phone. She stated that she and the other alleged offender would fax him voluntary statements about the incident.
The case was forwarded to the county prosecutor for review.
An officer reported that he had responded to a fight at the Crow Creek Bar at about 10:45 p.m. Aug. 13.
As a result of the investigation, Lacey J. Pittman, 24, of Bucyrus, was issued citations for third-degree assault and peace disturbance.
The officer cited Pittman after determining she had assaulted the 39-year-old male owner of the bar and a 58-year-old female patron, according to a report.
