An Elk Creek man sustained moderate injuries Thursday afternoon in a U.S. 63 crash in Vienna, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
A 1998 Chevrolet Lunina driven south by Debby S. Moffet, 52, was stopped for traffic when her vehicle was struck in the rear by a 1992 GMC Sierra operated by Ted L. James, 78, of Texas County, the patrol said. James’ truck caused the car to cross the centerline before striking a 2003 Ford Ranger driven northbound by Robert J. Miller, 36, of Freeburg.
James was flown to University Hospital in Columbia.
Moffett, a passenger, Deanna L. Anderson, 44, of Vienna; and Miller were taken to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City with minor injuries.
All three vehicles sustained extensive damage, the patrol said.
