Two persons face charges following a Houston accident.

Both men involved in a van-motorcycle accident Friday received citations from the Houston Police Department.

The 11:15 a.m. accident occurred when a gray 1999 Chrysler Town and County van driven by Ardis F.J. Morton, 29, of 1023 Thomasville Road in Houston, struck a 2007 Yamaha V-Star motorcycle operated by Thomas M. McGalliard, 67, of 505 E. Florence St. in Houston.

The investigating officer reported that McGalliard was stopped at a stop sign on First Street waiting to turn onto U.S. 63 when he was rear-ended by Morton.

McGalliard was ejected from the motorcycle, but stated he was not injured. He was, however, ticketed for operating a motorcycle when not motorcycle qualified.

Morton received two citations following the crash, one for following too closely and another for failing to exhibit an insurance identification card.
