A man faces a DWI charge after he was arrested at a local clinic after workers said he demanded narcotics on Aug. 18.

A Florissant man faces DWI charges after demanding narcotics from a local medical facility.

Glennon B. Whitworth Jr., 57, of No. 8 Brookstone Court in Florissant, was issued a citation for driving while intoxicated at about 8:25 a.m.

Whitworth was cited in the parking lot at Texas County Memorial Hospital after a report was received from St. John’s Clinic in Houston that he had been there demanding narcotics.

After making contact with him, an investigating officer noticed that Whitworth’s speech was slurred and that he was acting strangely. Field sobriety tests were conducted.

Whitworth was taken to the Texas County Jail and blood samples were taken.
