The Animal Shelter of Texas County is attempting to locate the owner of a female Shih Tzu that was found near the Houston Schools and apparently either recently had puppies or has been nursing puppies.
A City of Houston worker found the dog and brought it to the shelter. It shows obvious signs of mothering.
Shelter manager Marsha Martin encourages whoever has the puppies to come to the shelter and claim their mother.
“We need to reunite her with her puppies,” Martin said.
