A Cabool teen was ordered to trial Monday in connection with a cat burning incident.
Collin J. Beesler, 17, is to appear Sept. 6 for formal arraignment in Texas County Circuit Court.
Beesler is charged with animal abuse/torture/mutilation while the animal was alive. The incident occurred in late June.
The cat, Tinkerbell, died last month due to infection caused by burns over most of her body. The case drew much publicity and sparked the creation of a Facebook page that drew comments from across the country.
Beesler is free on $75,000 signature bond, is under house arrest and curfew. Another teen was referred to juvenile authorities.
