A Texas County seed business is among venues set for a visit by Rep. Jo Ann Emerson during her annual fair tour.
Emerson will visit Hamilton Seed from 3 to 4 p.m. Monday. It is situated at 16786 Brown Road at Elk Creek.
“Agriculture is a major economic sector for rural Southern Missouri. I’m very proud of everything we raise, grow and sell here in the 8th Congressional District. The people in this line of work are dedicated, smart and resourceful, and we have had a productive ongoing discussion about how to best represent our shared interests in Congress for many years now,” Emerson said. “As the challenges and responsibilities of agriculture continue to change, we must continue to adapt. In the fields, in labs and through sound policy, we take the success of our Missouri ag families very seriously, because they are the past, present and future of our rural communities.”
Emerson plans to visit 16 counties in the district in five days.
