One person was injured in a crash with a deer Thursday, Sept. 8, near Houston.

One person was injured Thursday afternoon when a deer ran across U.S. 63 and was struck by a car, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

Jessica L. Stillwell, 26, Wright City, was traveling southbound in a 1998 Ford Taurus about six miles north of Houston when the accident occurred, said Tpr. Terry Nelson of the patrol.

A passenger, Sheila Stillwell, 52, of Warrenton, was taken by ambulance with minor injuries to Texas County Memorial Hospital.

Both women were wearing seat belts, the trooper said.
