The City of Houston announced Thursday that work planned for First Street had been postponed.
City Administrator Larry Sutton said he was told by Pace Construction of West Plains, the contractor, that grinding equipment required to lower the pavement in some areas won’t be available until next week.Â
Paving is slated for Saturday, Sept. 17, he said.Â
