Texas County authorities are investigating the theft of appliances from a Licking residence.
A Licking man called to report Sept. 9 that his Shafer Road residence had been broken into and that several large appliances had been stolen.
The man told an investigating officer that he had not been to the property in a couple of months and had not had any renters for some time. He stated that when he went to the residence, he found the kitchen window broken out and the appliances missing.
Items he reported stolen included an oven, washer, dryer and copper wire, with a total value of $3,400.
He called the next day to report that a central heating and air unit had also been stolen.
