Nearly 120 students at Houston Schools joined others from around the globe Wednesday morning for a national day of prayer.

See You At The Pole is a student-initiated and student-led movement that began in 1990 in Texas. At Houston, 117 students circled the flag pole at the superintendent’s office to share scripture, sing and pray together. They were supported by 37 adult members of the community.

The 2011 theme was “Converge” based on Matthew 18:20. Last year, teenagers met for the event in every state and many countries around the world.

The Houston event was sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at HHS and the Youth Leaders of Texas County.
