Arlene Brown, 79, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, in Lubbock, Texas.
She was born Nov. 22, 1931, in Humbolt, Kan., daughter of Ernest Albert and Loretta Della Howell Jesse. She and Glen Brown were married May 25, 1958, in Davis City, Iowa.
She spent most of her life in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri. She recently lived in Missouri until moving to Levelland, Texas, in August.
She worked many years for Rawlings Sporting Goods as a seamstress before retirning in 1985. She was a member of the Plato Chapter No. 240, Order of the Eastern Star, Plato, and had been attending Levelland Chapter #797, Order of the Eastern Star, Levelland, Texas.
She was proceded in death by her parents; a sister, Shirley Mae; a brother, Carl Leland; and her stepmother, Helen Bordine.
Survivors include her husband, Glen of Levelland, Texas; two sons, Dale Brown of Levelland, Texas, and Dean Brown of Rockaway Beach; four grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Services were Thursday, Sept. 29, at George Prince Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jesse Sanders officiating. Burial was in City of Levelland Cemetery under the direction of George Price Funeral Home of Levelland, Texas.
