The Houston City Council will seek bids for work at the Houston Memorial Airport, members decided at a meeting on Monday.
Utilizing FFA funds administered by MoDOT, the city plans to clear an area north of the existing runway, as well as paint a beacon and replace a light on it.
Authorization came last week from MoDOT to seek bids.
In other matters, members:
-Okayed a $100 donation for a Halloween celebration in downtown Houston on Monday, Oct. 31.
-Heard the council’s budget committee is hammering out a new budget that the full council will consider in December.
