Texas County authorities are investigating an Evening Shade burglary.
An officer reported Oct. 4 a 73-year-old Evening Shade woman had reported a break-in at her Oak Drive property.
The woman told the officer that a chain to a gate had been cut and that several items had been stolen, including a 32-inch TV valued at $300, a refrigerator worth $100 and a home-made hay trailer valued at $500. She also said the glass on a tractor door had been damaged and that the tractor’s ignition had been damaged.
A suspect in the case is a man who is also a suspect in similar cases in the same area, authorities said.
