Dean Stone

Dean Franklin Stone, 92, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at his home in Licking.

He was born Feb. 28, 1919, in Licking, son of Oscar and Vida Katherine Deason Stone. He and Mary Scott were married Jan. 6, 1940, in Salem.

He was a lifelong farmer who with his loyal companion, Raymond Seydlitz, spent many hours enjoying and taking care of cattle and his land.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Oral, Coy and Roy.

Survivors include his wife, Mary of the home; a brother, James of Licking; a sister, Ora Cameron of St. Joseph; and a host of other family members.

Services were Saturday, Oct. 1, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Kathy Grossman and Mary Stone speaking. Burial was in Licking Cemetery.
