Desiree Venable had 13 kills and Alexa Ichord had six aces as the Houston volleyball team topped Thayer in three sets last Thursday.
The victory snapped a four-match losing skid for the Lady Tigers (10-11-1, 3-1 South Central Association).
Ichord and Amber Sillyman had 11 assists apiece. Lauren Hoover led Houston with 19 digs.
On Tuesday, the Lady Tigers lost 25-23, 25-13 at West Plains. Ichord and Haylee Kell had four kills apiece. Sillyman handed out 14 assists and Hoover and Venable had 13 digs apiece.
JUNIOR VARSITY: Kylee Elmore and Haley Kelley had three kills apiece in the JV Lady Tigers’ straight sets win last Thursday against Thayer.
Hayley Walker had a team-best four aces in the victory. Bailey Earp handed out four assists.
On Tuesday, Kelley had four kills in the JV Lady Tigers’ 25-14, 25-16 loss at West Plains. Rheanna Craig added three kills.
Walker had two aces and led Houston with eight digs. Elmore added four digs.
