Artie Fay Vermillion Jones, 65, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at her home in Licking.
She was born Feb. 10, 1946, in Winona, daughter of Robert Lewis and Iva Fay Alcorn Vermillion. She and Jerry Duane Jones were married July 3, 1962.
She accepted the Lord into her life at a young age.
She worked and retired as a seamstress at Lees, Rawlings and Tag Team. For many years she served as the union secretary.
She enjoyed camping at the river with her family and friends. She loved floating the river with her husband, Jerry.
She enjoyed picking up her grandkids on the weekends and taking them to the river or watching them play sports and participate in school activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Bernice and Ann; and a daughter, Tammy Fay Myrick.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry; a son, Terry; three grandsons; a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Sanford Alcorn of Winona.
Services were Saturday, Nov. 26, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phillip McGuire officiating. Burial was in Boone Creek Cemetery.
