A Cabool teenager was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon when his vehicle ran off Rust Road three miles north of his hometown and struck a tree.
Cpl. Curtis Haden of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said Preston E. Rutz, 17, was traveling southbound in a 1992 Chevrolet when the accident occurred.
Rutz, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield in serious condition.
