Frank Harris

Frank Allen Harris, 55, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at his home in Naylor.

He was born April 11, 1956, in Kirbyville, Texas, son of Dameral Frank and Annie Bea Lane Harris.

He grew up in the Kirbyville, Texas, area as a child. In 1970, his family moved to the Hartshorn area, where they ran a dairy farm for several years.

He was employed as a long distance truck driver. He retired early for health reasons.

He loved playing cards, especially poker. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle when he was able. In August, he rode in The Dogs off the Leash Poker Run to raise money for hospice patients and for Christmas presents for children in the local area. He enjoyed visiting with his family and his many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jesse Harris.

Survivors include two sons, Jason Harris of Naylor and Frank Dewayne Harris of Success; three stepdaughters, Shawna Smith-Rutledge of Birch Tree, Sheila Smith Racicot of Summersville and Leena Smith of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Doyce McKinley of Ozark, Dee Giles of Rogersville and Cindy Labbee of Nixa; and many other family members and friends.

Services were Saturday, Nov. 26, with Rev. Steve Steelman officiating. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery under the care of Bradford Funeral Home.
