KAYLA KELLEY | First team utility

The team’s starting first baseman, Kelley was thrust into the role of ace pitcher this season. The move didn’t effect her hitting. Batting third in the lineup, Kelley had a team-best 37 hits while ranking second with a .504 batting average and 26 RBIs. She also scored 24 runs, stole 13 bases and struck out just six times in 77 at-bats.

LAUREN HOOVER | First team

One of two seniors on the HHS volleyball team, Hoover excelled as the team’s libero. She led the Lady Tigers with 123 digs.

TAYLOR FRANKLIN | First team infield

The first all-state selection in program history, Franklin led the Lady Tigers in nearly every statistical category. She scored a team-record 35 runs and led HHS in batting (.574), doubles (eight), triples (three), RBIs (28) and on-base percentage (.672). Franklin also stole 29 bases.

ALEXA ICHORD | Second team

A three-year starter, Ichord ranked among the team leaders in assists and kills while leading the Lady Tigers with 16 blocks and 15 aces.

OLIVIA WOOSLEY | Second team infield

Only a freshman, Woosley stepped into the starting lineup at third base and made an immediate impact. She batted .439 with seven doubles, three triples and 19 RBIs. She also stole 16 bases and had a .582 on-base percentage. Woosley completed the season batting clean-up for the Lady Tigers.

CLAY ASHWORTH | Second team offensive line

A two-way starter for the HHS football team, Ashworth was the Tigers’ top offensive and defensive lineman. He was a captain and one of team’s hardest workers, according to coach David Williams.

LIZZY SWINDELL | Second team outfield

Another freshman who cracked Houston’s starting lineup, Swindell saw action both in the outfield and first base. She batted .321 with a .424 on-base percentage and 10 RBIs. Swindell also scored 12 times.

MADDIE VANDIVER | Second team infield

The fastest player on the team, Vandiver swiped a school-record 30 bases in her sophomore season. She hit .455 in the team’s leadoff position with 32 runs, 30 hits, six doubles and five RBIs.

DESIREE VENABLE | Honorable mention

Venable isn’t tall, but she hits the ball awfully hard. She led the Lady Tigers with 53 kills from her outside hitter position.

RODNEY PREHEIM | Honorable mention

One of six seniors on the HHS football team, Preheim was a two-way starter on the offensive line and at linebacker. He ranked among the team leaders in tackles.

AMBER SILLYMAN | Honorable mention

The Lady Tigers’ starting setter, Sillyman handed out a team-high 92 assists in her junior season.

BELLE KNARR | Honorable mention

The team’s starting catcher, Knarr developed into a strong defender as a sophomore. At the plate, she perfected the art of slap bunting. She hit .394 with 19 runs and 13 steals. She had a .556 on-base percentage.

KAYLEA PREHEIM | Honorable mention

Preheim moved from the infield to the outfield her second season and was a valuable asset with her speed and strong arm. She batted .302 with 10 runs, eight RBIs and five stolen bases.
