The Houston eighth grade boys’ basketball team lost to Cabool 42-31 Tuesday night in the season opener.
Skylur Malam led the Tigers with six points. Keegan Spurlin scored five. Four players scored four points apiece.
Ahead 9-6 after the opening quarter, Cabool used a 12-4 second-quarter advantage for a 21-10 halftime lead.
SEVENTH GRADE: Trevor Motzkus scored seven points in Houston’s 23-12 loss Tuesday to Cabool.
Lucas Kelley added three points for the Tigers, who trailed 13-5 at the half.
