Military veteran

Jeanie Marie Ice, 35, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.

She grew up and attended school in Mountain Home, Ark. She graduated in 1994.

She served three years in the Navy. After discharge, she attended Missouri State Sherriff’s Academy and worked in various law enforcement agencies within 10 years, including: the Baxter County Sherriff’s Department of Mountain Home, Ark., West Plains Police Department, Howell County Sherriff’s Department and Christian County Sherriff’s Department.

She was baptized into Christ at an early age by her father, Ron, and attended College & North Church of Christ of Mountain Home, Ark. She more recently attended Ozark Baptist Church of Houston. She committed her life to God and teaching her daughter and others of him.

She loved music, flowers, hunting, photography and her occupation. She loved being a mother.

Survivors include a daughter, Ashlynn; her parents, Ronald and Betty Brinkley; a brother, Clinton; and many other family members and friends.

Graveside services with full military honors were Saturday, Nov. 19, in Ozark Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Jetton and the Rev. John Wisdom officiating. Services were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
