Mountain Grove outscored the Houston eighth grade boys’ basketball team 13-2 in the third quarter Monday en route to a 41-30 victory.
Houston led 20-19 at the half before Mountain Grove switched defenses in the third quarter to pull away.
“We feel like the kids are playing hard and getting better week by week,” Houston coach Jason Puryear said.
Skylur Malam led the Tigers with 20 points.
The Houston seventh grade boys also lost.
