A new ministry will begin hosting a weekly youth worship service on Saturday nights in downtown Houston.
Undivided Hearts is a ministry of the Youth Leaders of Texas County. It will hold services at 7 p.m. Saturdays inside its building on the corner of First and Chestnut streets. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and close at 8:30.
Services will follow the format of previous rallies – See You At the Pole, Fields of Faith and more – held by the group. There is a youth praise team, multimedia and a devotion. The opening-week devotion will be led by Brenda Dennis, Houston High School principal.
According to the group’s mission statement, Undivided Hearts is non-denominational and targets youth “with the love and intensity of Jesus Christ.” The group also states that it is not a replacement for the local church.
The weekly services will target teens in grades 6-12, but all ages are welcome to attend.
You may be asking, what is Undivided Hearts?
Well, we aren’t a church. We are a ministry targeting youth withthe LOVE and INTENSITY of Jesus Christ.
What denomination are we? We aren’t one!
We are a group of messy youth leaders undivided as one.
“[Jesus] is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teachingeveryone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fullymature in Christ.” Colossians 1:28
We come together to worship as one body. Our music is loud,God’s message is EPIC! Don’t be mistaken…we are not a replacementfor the local church.
Undivided Hearts. It is what it is!
“I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit inthem…” Ezekial 11:19
