There were no fatal traffic accidents during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, according to Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Captain Dwayne F. Isringhausen, commanding officer, said troopers investigated two alcohol-related traffic crashes and investigated 18 crashes on C.A.R.E. designated highways. Troopers made four DWI arrests, five drug arrests and issued 377 citations for speed, 82 seat belt tickets, and four child restraint summonses. Additionally, officers issued 475 warnings and provided assistance to 160 motorists.

Other totals from the weekend were:

–152 speed summonses.

–22 seat belt summonses.

–Four other hazardous moving vehicle summonses.

–Eight non-moving violation summonses.

–One driver’s license summons.

–Three uninsured motorist summonses.

–One misdemeanor drug arrest.

–One other misdemeanor arrest.

–192 warnings.

“We were very pleased that Troop G did not experience any fatal collisions this Thanksgiving holiday weekend,” Isringhausen said. “As we approach the winter driving season, please plan ahead when traveling, don’t drink and drive and always wear your seat belt.”
