Deer hunters closes the fall firearms season
Tuesday. It is the conclusion of the 11-day season that began Nov.
12.
Figures on Monday show Texas County will be
among the top counties when the calculations are made. The tally on
Monday showed 3,042 killed here. The breakdown: 1,452, bucks; 366,
button bucks; and 1,224, does. Last year’s final number was
3,130.
Macon County was first, showing 3042. It was
followed by Howell, 3,181; and Callaway, 2063.Â
