Three were injured Monday in accidents in Texas County.

Two men were injured Monday afternoon north of Licking on U.S. 63 when their truck hit the ditch to avoid another vehicle and turned over on its side, said Sgt. Jeff Kinder of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Kinder said a truck driven by James A. Gapsch, 29, was traveling southbound when the mishap occurred. Gapsch and a passenger, Steven J. Johnson, 29, were taken to Phelps County Regional Medical Center at Rolla with minor injuries. Neither was wearing a seat belt, according to a report.

The vehicle was totaled. Members of the Licking Fire Department also responded.

A Summersville woman was injured late Monday night when her northbound car ran off Highway 17 about two miles north of her hometown and struck a ditch.

Sgt. George Falterman said Jennifer A. Cook Yates, 30, was transported with minor injuries to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
