Three Texas County residents have been indicted on drug charges, the U.S. attorney's office announced Wednesday.

Three Texas County residents have been indicted on methamphetamine-related charges for alleged activity in Phelps County, the U.S. attorney’s office said Wednesday.

Edward Belew, 43; Rhonda Lee, 38; and Bonnie Shoults, 30, all of Summersville, MO, were indicted on one count each of conspiracy to possess pseudoephedrine for the manufacture of methamphetamine and one felony count of possession of pseudoephedrine.

If convicted, each count of the indictment carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000. In determining the actual sentences, a judge is required to consider the U.S. sentencing guidelines, which provide recommended sentencing ranges.

This case was investigated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the South Central Drug Task Force.
