While being assisted by Frank Vogel of the Summersville Volunteer Fire Department, Carey Shriver douses flames in the Shriver Cabinets workshop after a fire broke out Thursday morning.

Firefighters from four Texas County volunteer fire departments responded to a fire Thursday at about 10:15 a.m. at the Shriver Cabinets workshop near Highways H and 137.

Representatives of the Clear Springs, Raymondville, Summersville and Tyrone fire departments all fought the blaze, which occurred in the loft, or upper portion, of the large,  metal-roofed building.

As several firefighters mutually fought the fire, several others joined Shriver Cabinets employees in removing many wooden items from the building.

There were reportedly no injuries.
