The Missouri State Highway Patrol will conduct special operations in December targeting intoxicated drivers in Texas County.
Captain Dwayne F. Isringhausen, commanding officer of Troop G, said the goal of the special operations is to remove careless and intoxicated drivers from Missouri’s highways. Operations are conducted at various locations which have been found to experience a higher than normal number of alcohol-related contacts, hazardous driving contacts and traffic crashes.
“Unfortunately, the holiday season is a time of year when we often see an increase in alcohol- and drug-related traffic offenses,” Isringhausen said. “Our troopers are committed to making our roads as safe as possible by aggressively enforcing the law.”
