The Houston seventh-grade girls completed the 2011 season Tuesday night with a 26-18 victory against Mountain Grove.

The Lady Tigers won their final 11 games — including last Thursday’s victory in the championship game of the Liberty Tournament — and finished with a 13-2 record.

“There is a lot of talent and athleticism in this group, and they are willing to work hard,” Houston coach John Jordan said. “They’ll be fun to watch in the future.”

Jaydin Ramsey led the Lady Tigers with 11 points. Alyssa Hayes and Alexis Dixon scored six apiece.

EIGHTH GRADE: Sarah Kelley scored 12 points and Chloe Morning had 10 in Houston’s 42-19 victory Tuesday against Mountain Grove.

The Lady Tigers finished 12-3 and had a combined record of 24-6 the past two seasons. They had two tournament titles and two second-place finishes in middle school.

“That’s something to be proud of,” Jordan said. “They found ways to win when the outcome didn’t look very good. “
