Accidents on slick roads injured eight Texas County residents on Saturday, Feb. 28. 

Slick roads led to to two injuries in Texas County and numerous accidents across the county on Tuesday morning. 

A Mountain Grove woman was injured on slick roads Tuesday morning just west of Cabool on Business 60.

Cpl. Curtis Haden of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2004 Ford driven east by Nancy G. Shark, 64, ran off the roadway and struck a bridge.

Haden said Shark, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to a Cabool clinic.

The vehicle sustained extensive damage, he said.

A Licking woman had minor injuries Tuesday when her 2004 Jeep ran off slick Highway 17 just south of Roby.

According to the patrol, Gretta Hathaway, 46, was northbound when her vehicle ran off the road and overturned. Hathaway, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital.

Tpr. S.J. Crewse said the vehicle had moderate damage.

Ronald L. Carter, 50, of Cabool, was injured on U.S. 60 west of Macomb when his 2004 Toyota ran off the roadway and struck an embankment. Cpl. Clint Dill said he was taken to St. John’s in Springfield with moderate injuries.

The vehicle had extensive damage. Carter was wearing a seat belt.
