Firefighters from two departments are responding to a field fire.

Firemen from Summersville and Clear Springs responded Monday morning to a report of field fire about three miles north of Hartshorn on Highway KK. 

The owner was able to extinguish it before fire trucks arrived. It later rekindled and firemen were called a second time.

During the noon hour, these fires were active:

•Licking’s fire department is responding to assist Edgar Springs at a large grass fire on County Road 3610.

•Greenhouse structures are reported on fire on Bradford Road. Clear Springs and Summersville were called. 

•Huggins was called to a field fire on Highway 38.

•A grass fire is reported at Highway BB near a barn and house at Licking.
