Texas County’s unemployment rate increased slightly in December, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The figure was 7.9 percent, which was up three-tenths of a percentage point from November.
The average in south-central Missouri was 8.7 percent.
Area counties and their jobless rates: Douglas, 10.2 percent; Howell, 7.6; Shannon, 12.1; and Wright, 8.5.
