Ernest Lee Barnwell, 70, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, in Lebanon.
He was born Oct. 25, 1941, in Houston, son of John and Velma Cantrell Barnwell.
He spent most of his life in Houston working as a body man. He enjoyed fishing and hunting until he became ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and two grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Linda of the home in Lebanon; a grandson; two sons, Ernest Barnwell Jr. and Delmar Barnwell of Lebanon; five daughters, Kimberly Mobbs, Elizabeth Williams and Donna Barton of Lebanon, Sandra Blattel of Tunas and Tammy Fowler of Amarillo, Texas; 38 grandkids; 28 great-grandkids; one great-great grandchild; and many other family members and friends.
Services were Monday, Jan. 23, at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Alan Reeves officiating. Burial was in Ellis Prairie Cemetery.
