Jerry “Joe” Creech, 55, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at his home.

He was born Sept. 21, 1956, in Paducah, Ky., son of Wright and Eula Rogers Creech.

He was a lifelong Licking resident and graduate of the class of 1975 at Licking High School.

He was an artist for Rawlings Sporting Goods Factory. He later worked for Tag and George O. White Nursery.

He enjoyed drawing, woodworking and watching and feeding the squirrels. He loved being around his family, especially his granddaughters, who called him “PaPa Joe.”

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bud Creech and Randy Creech.

Survivors include a son, Justin Creech; two granddaughters; four siblings, Loran of Calfornia, Mo., Christy Walker and Mike Creech of Licking and Ronnie Creech of Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Memorial services were Sunday, Jan. 22, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Eisler officiating.
