A Summersville man was injured Monday, Nov. 25, in a crash just south of Willow Springs, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Three persons were injured Thursday night in a Highway 137 crash five miles south of Licking.

Cpl. Scott Nelson said a northbound 2007 Toyota driven by Kristie D. Gorman, entered ice on the shoulder of the roadway while negotiating a curve, lost control and overturned into the ditch.

Gorman and children Lillian, 5; and Madison, 7, all of Licking, were all injured and taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. The girls’ injuries were minor. Gorman had moderate injuries, Nelson said.

The vehicle was totaled.

Two Willow Springs residents received moderate injuries when their westbound 1986 Ford failed to negotiate a curve on ice-covered Highway U northeast of Cabool, skidded off the road and struck a tree.

Keith M., 56, and Sarah J. Kargel, 43, sustained moderate injuries and were taken to Ozarks Medical Center at West Plains.

The vehicle had extensive damage, and neither was wearing a seat belt, Tpr. Myron Downey.
