Allie Mae Barton, 103, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, in Fullerton, Calif.
She was born Aug. 16, 1908, in Houston, daughter of Charles E. and Bessie J. Davis Wallace. She and Jason E. Barton were married 1929 in Houston.
She was raised in Houston and graduated from Houston High School in 1926. She earned a teaching certificate and taught school for two years.
She and her husband, a civil engineer, lived in Colorado, California, Montana and Maryland before retiring in Arizona. She was a homemaker. She loved traveling, camping and painting in her retirement.
She was a lifelong Baptist and lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jason in 1973; two sisters, Eula Hays and Ruth Tappero; and three brothers, Wayne Davis, Willard Davis and Chester Davis.
Survivors include two daughters, Audrey Grand and Mary Jane Vernon; two sisters, Lee Kershner and Jean Hays of Colorado; and 16 grand-grandchildren.
Services were Thursday, Feb. 16, at Crossroads Community Church in La Habra, Calif. Burial was in Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton, Calif.
