Authorities were called to a report of two brothers with bats at a Houston business.

A 37-year-old Houston business owner called the Texas County Sheriff’s Department at about 2:30 p.m. Feb. 3 to report that two Licking men, ages 18 and 20, were trying to assault him with baseball bats at his place of business.

An officer responded to the location and spoke to the three men, and determined that the suspects were angry because the man had purchased a trailer from their father that turned out to be stolen, and had contacted the owner of the trailer and told him who he had bought it from.

The business owner declined to press charges, but the officer warned the two younger men to stay away from him and his place of business.
