A hunter education class is set for March 16-17 in Texas County.

A hunter education class is planned March 17 and 18 west of Houston.

The Missouri Conservation Department will sponsor the instruction from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at Faith Fellowship west of Houston on Highway 17. Anyone 11 years or older interested in obtaining hunter education certification is invited.

Person born on or after Jan. 1, 1967, must have completed hunter course and display a certification card to purchase any of the adult permits for deer and/or turkey hunting seasons. Adults aiding youth in a hunt must be hunter education certified, too.
